PICK UP TIME:

Please have your cart out by 6:00 a.m., or the night before, Thank you!

Ensure carts and bins are at least 5' from cars and/or mailboxes. As well as at least 3' from other carts for service. Not adhering to this could cause your carts to be missed for service.

CART SIZES:

20, 35, 60 or 90 gallon garbage carts. 

Recycling carts are included with service.

Maximum weights:

60 gallon cart or larger: 120 lbs.

32 gallon cart: 60 lbs.

30 gallon kraft bag: 45 lbs.

PAINT:

Paint cans must be completely empty. 

Only placed in garbage if the paint can lid is removed and the paint is left to dry completely before disposing.  Unused paint in a can may be disposed of at your local paint store or at a Metro Hazardous Waste Drop off event. 

 

EXTRA GARBAGE / YARD DEBRIS:

• You’re welcome to set out extra contents on top or beside your cart. Items set out that exceed the cart capacity will be considered extra garbage and will be charged accordingly to your account.  Lids must close completely to avoid over-the-top or “smiley can” fees.  

Note: We are not responsible for items left next to carts. Anything placed outside your cart could be picked up and charged.  

Please place all extra garbage / yard debris bags at least 3 feet from side of cart.

• Extra yard debris may be set out in brown paper Kraft bags (available at local hardware stores) and extra charges will apply for any items that exceed the capacity of the cart.  

• Plastic bags of yard debris are not acceptable/recyclable.  

• Additional yard debris carts are available for an extra monthly fee.  

• In the winter, it is common for yard debris to freeze and get stuck in the container. Unfortunately, there is not much our drivers can do if this occurs. We’ll do our best to service your needs and at those times if it is frozen and cannot be dumped in its entirety please call us and we’ll be sure to get extra that’s a cart’s worth next service day at no charge.  

• Christmas trees can be cut and placed in your yard bin or you can schedule a bulky item pickup  

Extra yard debris must be set out in a Brown Kraft paper bag, not a plastic bag.

All extra charges will be added to next billing cycle.

BULKY ITEMS:

Removal of items too large for your garbage cart such as: couches, water heaters, lawnmowers, toilets, tires, etc. is available any Wednesday of the year.

NEEDLES, MEDICAL SYRINGES, LANCES aka SHARPS:

Medical waste, such as needles, etc. (SHARPS) are hazardous and must not be put in the garbage or recycling. Used sharps are to be disposed of at a hazardous waste facility, pharmacy or collection event. Sharps must be contained in an approved, leak proof and rigid container, clearly labeled that is available from your pharmacy.
