PICK UP TIME:

Please have your cart out by 6:00 a.m., or the night before, Thank you!

Ensure carts and bins are at least 5' from cars and/or mailboxes. As well as at least 3' from other carts for service. Not adhering to this could cause your carts to be missed for service.

CART SIZES:

20, 35, 60 or 90 gallon garbage carts. 

Recycling carts are included with service.

​

Maximum weights:

60 gallon cart or larger: 120 lbs.

32 gallon cart: 60 lbs.

30 gallon kraft bag: 45 lbs.

PAINT:

Paint cans must be completely empty.  Can only be in garbage if lid is removed and paint is left to dry completely before disposing.  Unused paint in a can may be disposed of at your local paint store or at a Metro Hazardous Waste Drop off event. 

 

EXTRA GARBAGE / YARD DEBRIS:

Please place all extra garbage / yard debris bags at least 3 feet from side of cart. All extra charges will be added to next billing cycle. 

Lids must close completely, or a "smiley can" charge will apply.

Any yard trimmings, bushes, etc. can be placed in yard debris cart. 

Extra yard debris must be set out in a Brown Kraft paper bag, not a plastic bag.

BULKY ITEMS:

Removal of items too large for your garbage cart such as: couches, water heaters, lawnmowers, toilets, tires, etc. is available any Wednesday of the year.

NEEDLES, MEDICAL SYRINGES, LANCES aka SHARPS:

Medical waste, such as needles, etc. (SHARPS) are hazardous and must not be put in the garbage or recycling. Used sharps are to be disposed of at a hazardous waste facility, pharmacy or collection event. Sharps must be contained in an approved, leak proof and rigid container, clearly labeled that is available from your pharmacy.
